Mobile Quiz Platform for Global Beverage and Lifestyle Brand

Its energy drink of the same name has the highest global market share in its category and has grown to worldwide prominence over the last few decades. Beyond its beverage sales - Red Bull is highly active in the entertainment and culture space - often associated with sporting events (extreme, automotive, and more traditional), and music and art events.

PROJECT

The team at Red Bull was looking for a creative way - through a mobile quiz experience - to engage music lovers around their New York Music Festival and to encourage on-premise group consumption of Red Bull during and after the festival.

objectstudio was uniquely positioned to fill this need - with past experience with quiz style mobile games and deep knowledge on real time delivery of vouchers redeemable for goods at bars, restaurants, and nightlife venues though our work with ItsOnMe.

Our solution comprised several components - an engaging, socially sharable, music quiz game optimized for web, mobile browsers, and social in-app browsers (to align with Red Bull’s social focused marketing efforts) - a management and reporting portal allowing the Red Bull team to collaborate on quiz questions and view campaign stats and track prize winners - and a merchant-focused progressive web app (PWA) for use by the venue staff when redeeming Red Bull can vouchers awarded in the game.
